About the Exhibition: We Speak Their Names in Hushed Tones is an extended reality and photography exhibition exploring the psychological impact of irregular migrations on families left behind in Benin City, Nigeria. The project is by Nigerian filmmaker and documentary photographer, Omoregie Osakpolor.
The exhibition was held from the 25th of March until the 1st of April, 2025 in Benin City, Nigeria.

About My Role: As co-curator of and Head of Communications for the exhibition, I managed promotion, PR, messaging and content creation on behalf of the exhibiting artist. My responsibilities included:
- Conceptualising a pre-exhibition video campaign to highlight the exhibiting artist’s trajectory and his connection to Benin City.
- Drafting and editing the pre-exhibition interview scripts, press releases and most of the textual content included in the exhibition catalogue.
- Planning and overseeing the creation of 7 highlight videos and photo carousels which raked 35,000 (combined) views on Instagram over a period of 8 days.
- Offering creative direction to the graphic artist who designed all the exhibition materials.
- Producing an all-encompassing report covering WSTNIHT’s impact across the globe post-exhibition.
Key Results:
- 415 attendees viewed the exhibition in person.
- 13,247 views on the three videos produced as part of the pre-exhibition campaign.
- 35,000 combined views on all content made and shared during the exhibition.
